Three Singers named “K.L Saigal,Rabindranath Tagore and Danny Kaye” had greatly influenced him. Then he sung a song named “Aake Seedhi Lagi Dil Pe” from a film named “Half Ticket”. He sung that song both for male and female version. Kumar then inherited a new style for singing which is known as Yodelling. Then S.D Burman, Thought to help Kishore enhance his singing skills. He then trained Kishore further. S. D. Burman wanted kishore to sung songs for various Dev Anand’s movies such as Munimji (1954), Taxi Driver (1954), House no 44(1955), Funtoosh (1956), Nau Do Gyarah (1957), Paying Guest (1957), Guide (1965), Jewel Thief (1967), Prem Pujari(1970), and Tere Mere Sapne (1971). He has sung many indian songs like ; Arre Yaar Meri Tum bhi Ho Gajab and Gaata Rahe Mera Dil in 1965,Ai Meri Topi Palat Ke Aa and Nakhrewaali in 1956, Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke , Chhod Do Aanchal , Ankhon Mein Kya Jee , Eena Meena Deeka and Maana Janaab Ne Pukara Nahi in 1957, Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka , C.A.T. Cat Maane Billi , Hum to Muhabbat Karega and  Paanch Rupaiya Baara Aana in 1958, Zaroorat Hai Zarorat Hai ( 1961), Chhedo Na Meri Zulfein ( 1964),Ye Dil Na Hota Bechara ( 1967), Mere Samne Wali Khidki Mein and Kehna Hai in 1968, Mere Sapnon Ki Rani, Kora Kagaj Tha Ye Man Mera, Roop Tera Mastana in 1969,O Meri Sharmilee and Ye Shaam Mastani in 1971, Meet Na Mila in 1973, Zindagi Ke Safar Me Guzar Jaate Hain Jo Makam in 1974, Aane Wala Pal in 1979, Hame Aur Jeene Ki Chahat Na hoti in 1983, Raha Pe Rahete Hai in 1985, Jab Bhi Koi Kangana in 1987 and Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna. He also sung many Bengali Hit songs such as “Chirodini Tumi Je Amar” and  “E Amar Gurudakshina” in 1987. In his last days, he sung three songs “Pyar Ka Dard Hai , Kaho Kahan Chle and Tum jo Chale Gaye”.

Kishore started his acting career in 1946 , when he appeared in a film named “Shikari”. Then in 1951, she acted as a lead role in a film “Andolan”. Then he was also seen in other films such as ; Ladki , Char Paise, and Baap Re Baap. After that in 1954, he appeared in a film “Naukari”. In 1956, he was featured in three films “Bhai Bhai , Bhagam bhag and  New Delhi”.Then in 1957, he was seen in two other films “Musafir and Aasha”.In 1958, he appeared in a film named “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and Dilli Ka Thug”.In 1959, he appeared in Jaalsaaz. In 1961, he was casted in a film “Jhumroo”. He has acted in many more films like ; Half Ticket ( 1962), Mr. X in Bombay ( 1964), Padosan ( 1968), Bombay ka chor ( 1962), Ek Raaz ( 1963), Haal E Dil ( 1966). Kishore Kumar has also sung various bhajans, Qawwalis and Ghazals. On his achievements, he has recieved Filmfare awards for best Male Playback singer 8 times.
