Temba Started his career in 2008 in Gauteng against Eastern Province. In the first Innings he made four runs. In 2010 season he played for the “Lions”. He scored 124 not out against the knights for which he was tagged as “Man of the Match”.

In 26 December 2014, he made his test debut against West Indies . Till 2014 , He has won five matches for South Africa back to back . In 2016, He scored test century for the first time . He was then included in “Gauteng Squad” for 2015 Africa T20 Cup.

But then in 2017 he decided to join “Cape Cobras” for further seasons . In May 2017, He won the award of excellence at “Cricket South Africa’s annual awards. In feb 2023, he was chosen in place of “Tom Abell” by “Sunrisers Eastern Cape”.
